Coral Egan, Daniel Thouin, Yannick Rieu, Alain Caron et Paul Brochu présentent la musique de la première mouture du groupe Return to Forever de Chick Corea. Les albums « Return To Forever » et « Light as a Feather » qui fusionnent le jazz, la musique latine et hispanique, représentent certainement la période la plus mélodique du compositeur. Des pièces comme « 500 Miles High », « Captain Marvel » et bien sûr « Spain » font maintenant partie du répertoire typique de cette période musicale. Une musique naïve et joyeuse qui a traversé le temps et marqué l’imaginaire de plusieurs musiciens.

Coral Egan, Daniel Thouin, Yannick Rieu, Alain Caron and Paul Brochu present the music of the first iteration of Chick Corea’s band Return to Forever. The albums “Return To Forever” and “Light as a Feather,” which fused jazz with Latin and Hispanic music, certainly represent the most melodic period of the composer’s career. Pieces like “500 Miles High,” “Captain Marvel,” and of course “Spain” are now part of the typical repertoire of that musical era. Naive, joyful music that has stood the test of time and had an impact on the imagination of many musicians.
