Thus Owls
Maîtres d’œuvre d’un alliage fascinant de chanson et de rock, où fragilité et intensité cohabitent en harmonie, la chanteuse suédoise Erika Angell et le guitariste Simon Angell réunis sous la bannière Thus Owls, n’ont pas fini de séduire critiques et public d’ici et d’ailleurs. Le duo nous revient avec un récent EP sombre et cinématographique, Black Matter, un bijou d’exploration musicale auquel ont collaboré plusieurs orfèvres, dont Daníel Bjarnason et Liam O’Neill (Suuns). Sublime.
They masterfully weave a fascinating fusion of pop, folk, rock and skronk, where fragility and intensity coexist in intricate harmony: Swedish singer Erika Angell and guitarist Simon Angell aka Thus Owls, have barely begun to conquer critics and fans here and abroad. Rodrigo Amarante
Ex-membre du groupe étoile de la scène brésilienne Los Hermanos, Rodrigo Amarante a posé le premier jalon de sa carrière solo avec un premier disque en son nom, Cavalo, en 2013. En portugais, français et anglais, il y revisite la saudade brésilienne avec des touches de folk planant, entre Andrew Bird et Devendra Banhart. Un style enchanteur et envoûtant qui confirme sa place de compositeur hors pair et d’artiste immensément créatif. Les fans de la série Narcos le vénèrent pour sa fameuse chanson du générique.
Former member of standout Brazilian group Los Hermanos, Rodrigo Amarante delivered the first gem of his solo career with Cavalo, in 2013. Singing in Portuguese, French and English, he revisits Brazilian saudade with touches of soaring folk, pitched somewhere between Andrew Bird and Devendra Banhart. It’s a spellbinding style that confirms his stature as a peerless composer and tremendously creative artist. Fans of the Narcos series love him for his famed theme song.
